If I am going to read one book on the Doolittle Raid, which one should I pick?
Thanks in advance!
‘30 Seconds over Tokyo’ (1943) by Ted Lawson, one of the pilots on the raid, could be considered the most thorough account. The book details the technical and logistical challenges of the mission and how they were overcome by innovation, training, and personal bravery. It was quickly made into a movie starring Spencer Tracey that is quite entertaining.
