So I’m new to this reddit, and I came here to ask some questions that hopefully someone knows. My dad wants to get a tattoo, and he’s in love with the Vikings TV show, so he wants to get a Viking tattoo. He wants to put 2004 and 2007 on his arms, but we’ve been googling about the Viking numbers and each one is different, so I don’t know which is correct. If anyone can help, that will make my day.
There's no homogeneous Viking culture. Anyway, as far as is known, they simply did not use numbers. That is, they did have words for numbers, but calculations were likely performed by moving pebbles or other markers.
Roman numerals were introduced with Christianity.
