I am thrilled to announce the ascension of our newest /r/AskHistorians moderators!
/u/UrAccountabilibuddy Moderator | History of Education has done a bang up job educating all of us on the history of, well, education and will be your new master moderator.
/u/cdesmoulins Moderator | Early Modern Jesuits | Early Modern Drama has an expert knowledge of drama that will no doubt come in handy as they moderate the subreddit with the wrath of God in their heart.
/u/coinsinmyrocket Moderator | Mid 20th Century Military | Naval History is already a veteran moderator of Reddit’s history community, but they can now add /r/AskHistorians to the list of their campaigns.
I do not think we could ask for a better bunch of inductees for our cult of scholarly obsessions. May they ruthlessly ransack rule-breaking threads for the foreseeable future.
Without further ado, let us all bow down before the new overlords!
If any of the new mods need practice, feel free to delete this comment. =)
Lol the only askhistorians post that isn't full of deleted comments
Good luck, Suckers! Long may they reign!
Trolling aside, the heavy moderation of r/askhistorians is what makes it one of the best subs on reddit. Congrats, guys!
/u/coinsinmyrocket - You know how sometimes you're in the /r/history discord mod channel horrified at the comments you have to see/remove? I have to ask, WHY DID YOU VOLUNTEER FOR MORE OF THE SAME??? ARE YOU MENTAL????
*ahem* Good luck, new mods! May God be with you!
I think Obama getting elected was the first instance of a minority coming to power, right?
Here have some practice mods. I broke like 3 rules with that
YOU FOOLS
This sounds like the setup for a joke... "A teacher, a Jesuit, and a sailor walk into a bar. And delete everything."
You have my condolences.
Willkommen. Bienvenue. Welcome. C'mon in!
I just wanna comment for once on here because I've never bothered to wanna think I'm a decent question/followup.. woop woop
Thank you guys so much for volunteering your time to ensure quality content for the rest of us. I think this sub is the most amazing uses of the reddit format that creates some genuinely great quality content.
萬歲！萬歲！萬歲！
Welcome guys! :D
Whatever they did in the past, I hope they’re sorry now.
You have your job cut out for yous ;D

Mod team here does a great job and it's appreciated, thanks for stepping up.
Excellent! Congratulations and best of luck to you all!
Hey weird question for the other mods, does this song play on a loop whenever you log into Reddit too? Asking for a friend.
Glad to be apart of the team!
Coolio.
Congrats, new mods! May you delete many shitty posts!
Can't believe I missed this at the time, but congrats everyone! Wield those mod hammers with the skill and wisdom against the deserved hordes!
