During the French Revolution lot of heads got chopped off at the Place de la Revolution and as a law student I started to wonder that is it known what were the grounds of the death sentence for Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette? Did the Revolutionary Tribunal hold a trial or any official sentencing for them?
