Hello, I am writing a paper on how the Democratic Party effected the course of civil rights and was interested in what people likely more qualified than I am think about the topic. I know a lot of the basics such as LBJ legislation but also how democrats effectively thwarted Eisenhower’s civil rights attempts by watering down his bill, however I was interested in historian opinions overall whether they help or hindered the advancement of civil rights overall and any historians books they have on the topic as I am struggling to find many Thanks, PCN10
