This article describes research that claims to identify Australian oral tradition that describes Ice-Age lower coastlines. It is an interesting thesis, and the evidence is persuasive - in my opinion. That is the only example of recorded oral tradition recounting an Ice-Age environment that I know of. Of course, in Australia it is without the ice! All that we are hoping to see is the indirect effect of the Ice age, namely, the lower sea levels.
