What factors led to the resurgence in popularity of Chopin's "The Awakening" in the 20th century?

by TheDuo2Core

I'm currently writing an assignment where my topic deals with the criticism that Chopin received at the time, which caused "The Awakening" to fall into obscurity, and from what I've researched so far, it seems the turning point in its comeback was Per Seyersted's 1969 book, but I've had trouble finding any more information on that.
