Pakistan history

As Pakistan was part of India till the Independence. Do Pakistan schools teach their students about Gandhiji, Bhagat Singh, etc.? Do they give enough credit to the freedom fighters responsible for the Independence of both countries?

Nope.
As of textbooks, they start from "arrival of Islam in SA" and follow history through a myopic lens of "Two Nation Theory". Historians had framed this ideology saying "without ideologies nations can only be dead organism(s)."* This line was then justified by subsequent military and civilian govts. to achieve their goals.
This ideology is the guiding principle for Pakistani textbooks. Hence, every character whose words and actions did not support this ideology are demonized (AbulKalam, Subhas, Rani of Jhansi, Gandhi and many more), neglected or their words and actions are bent in such a way that fit this ideology (Syed Ahmad Khan, Iqbal, Jinnah and so many more).
Of course following ideology rather than history would leave massive "plot holes". These are then filled by other ideologues who have tried and are trying to rebrand history with their own versions. For example, a massive debate has been going on for half a century where ideologues have tried to argue (without evidence) whether Jinnah wanted a secular or a muslim state.
Funny enough many historians have also tried to look at history objectively with some success since requests from even the most renowned historians to open official archives are denied or delayed. If you are interested in reading more on this I'd recommend Mubarak Ali's "Identity of Pakistan" Chap:"Pakistan's Search for Identity"
KK Aziz' "Murder of History"
Ayesha Jalal's lecture and book "The Struggle for Pakistan".
Also, would be interested to know what's the situation in India.
