Hi, Looking for sources on the various religious practices of the early - middle bronze age people. Looking for information on their pantheons and methods of worship.
Info on the Sumerian and Assyrians would be highly valued
I provided some reading suggestions for Assyrian religion in this post and Sumerian religion and mythology here. Of those recommendations, I especially recommend Bottero's Religion in Ancient Mesopotamia and Black and Green's Gods, Demons, and Symbols of Ancient Mesopotamia.
If you're interested in a foray into Egyptian religion, see Sources for reading about Ancient Egyptian religion?
