I remember reading an article a few years back that Roe v Wade was a weird case in that it gave rise to the “life begins at conception” views held by many Americans today. Prior to Roe the view was far less common. The article goes on to mention how Roe’s occurrence in the middle of the women’s sexual revolution also played a big part in getting “recreational sex-shaming” Catholics involved in the Pro-Life movement. Is there any truth to that?
I looked up the topic on the sub before I posted this. I found a couple of threads that seemed relevant, but they didn’t answer my question.
Thanks in advance!
This comment by u/echrome was related to abortion, but doesn’t really even come close to answering the question I was curious about.
I’ve also done a few searches on the Internet for more information, but the internet is so muddied in propaganda that it’s hard to find non biased historical accounts.
