A question about a polearm I couldn't find information on

by Frankaos333

So, for a while I've been searching of an hystorical example that could have served as an ispiration for for this LEGO piece. I'm pretty sure there's a name for it since I could find one image of a weapon that looked exactly like this from a museum collection I can't recall. Do you know anything about this?

I would consider this a Partisan, although if the protrusions on the head are not sharpened it might be more accurately called a Ranseur - sharpness is hard to distinguish on a lego piece and polearm naming is notoriously specific. Both polearms' most common form only has the forward protrusions, but having both forward and backward ones isn't unheard of. You can see similar polearms in this virtual tour of the Grandmaster’s Palace Armoury, Valletta, Malta (click the right arrow twice, the polearms are along the right wall).

Out of curiosity does anyone know when this lego piece was first introduced or what set it was part of?
