My friend asked me to find out more information about his great-grandfather.

He doesn't have much information but my friend believes he thought in WWI. The name of the man is believed to be Aryeh Sherak, but there is a bit of confusion regarding his first name. He also believes that the suit that his great-grandfather is wearing is an 1917 Austrian army uniform.
He would like to know where he fought, and battles he went through, what unit he was part of. Furthermore he wants to know where he would need to go to find the proper documents about this person.
