Heyo, I've been trying to find more info on Directorate S of the KGB, so far what I've found is that it was responsible for training illegal (sleeper, non-official cover) agents, and it was led by Yuri Drozdov from 1979 to 1991. Not sure if it existed before his leadership, or if Drozdov founded it. It seems that Directorate S was also responsible for other foreign operations including Special Operation Storm-333. I'm trying to find information on the actual training methods for illegal agents, and if there are any publicly known agents that were found to be directly associated with Directorate S. Also any further info on Vympel would be helpful too.
