Looking for a specific type of social history, any recommendations?

Would you know of a book/website/article/author etc that outlines a general 'everyday life of people in X time period'? For example, how would a individual living in the United States during the Napoleonic Wars go around their everyday lives? I'm not interested in their connections with notable events or people/politics. Just how they ate, prepared food, worked, socialized, fit within their community, found partners, practiced religion, etc. The period i'm most interested in is late eighteenth century western Europe, circa 1789-1815 (if I had to slap a date on there). Perhaps a biography of someone from that period? Anything you would recommend?

Hope that made sense. For context i'm writing a fiction and want to set my universe in this time period. First post on this subreddit so thanks for any help!! (And point me somewhere else if you deem it more appropriate)

Greenwood Press has an excellent series of "Daily Life in [Q]" books along with more focused topics ("Sport and Games in [Q]", for example). That's probably where I would start looking.
