My father has traced our family tree back to the 1500s, but has hit a wall with Elizabethan handwriting. Can anyone discern from this text the names of the sons and daughters of Sampson Harse/Hurse? Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask.

Not without the next page. His will is the second on the page, and discounting the probate court's preamble, there are only two lines:

"In dei nomine amen. Hund. (?) and twentieth day of anno one thousand six hundred, and in the one and fortieth yeare of the raigne of"

One presumes the next words will be, "Elizabeth regina" or something to that effect, but it would be difficult to hazard a guess about his children's names.

I think I would be able to transcribe the entire text if it wasn't for the fact I'm having quite the head ache right now. At r/genealogy you will be able to find more people who can read old texts in most languages without much trouble, so maybe cross-post there. As far as I am concerned, the resolution of the image is good enough.

Is it possible to share a higher quality image, I can read the big text but not the rest?
