I was watching the movie the other day and was thinking about the accuracy of a few scenes. There is a scene with Cornwallis explaining to Col. Tavington the British plans for a post-revolution America. Cornwallis explains how there would be an aristocracy governing the colonies rather than colonial legislatures. In addition how accurate is the pillaging of the South Carolina countryside by the British? Is there anything that historians despise from this movie?
