Asking because theres a lot of videos on youtube about this, but most of them are on channels that i consider full of conspiracy BS, but this specific theory seems kinda believable to me, so wanted to ask some people who know stuff.
For anyone looking for more details about this conspiracy, it’s a story from the book Magicians of the Gods by Graham Hancock. Some variant of this question has been asked quite a few times: https://www.reddit.com/r/AskHistorians/search?q=graham+hancock&restrict_sr=on You can also search for “Gobekli Tepe” and find a lot of similar questions.
Here’s one of the threads with more detailed replies. https://www.reddit.com/r/AskHistorians/comments/3uw2ra/how_do_historians_feel_about_graham_hancock_i/
TLDR: Hell no. Put down the bong, unsubscribe from Joe Rogan, and be wary of Youtube holes.
