This may fall into the category of “anecdotal” and as such- my bad. Basically, I love listening through The History of Rome and as an amateur history lover, it has allowed me to go deeper in a subject than I normally get to.
As a historian, are these types of podcasts reliable? How are they viewed by professionals? Have any other suggestions for a history geek with a commute? Thanks!
There are some posts on the FAQ re Dan Carlin. https://www.reddit.com/r/AskHistorians/wiki/historians_views#wiki_historians.27_views_of_dan_carlin.27s_.22hardcore_history.22
Hopefully others can comment on Mike Duncan.
