I am staying in a cabin in Lincoln, New Mexico. How different is my life than an Anglo woman in the 1870s?

This is a one-room wood frame second floor adobe first floor cabin. I have a tin roof, a sitting porch, and glass windows.

I also have all of the modern conveniences, like hot water, a coffee pot, and an indoor shower. Oh yes and an indoor commode!

Don't worry, I have had the authentic experience of the path to the bath while staying in the mountains in Colorado.

I assume that most of the Anglo women would have been drinking tea since there were English and Irish families in town.

What else would have been going on in the domestic life of a town woman? For the sake of propriety let's assume I'm widowed.
