Good evening,
Can anyone recommend me a few choice books to learn —
A brief overview of Korean history from the beginning until current, preferably a smooth and condense read
A deeper, more detailed book on all aspects of modern Korean political history — Korean War and after?
Thanks!
Bonus — any books to read up on current Korean society and/or social customs and nuances.
Korea by Michael Pembroke gives a great telling of the Korean War and a small portion of Korean history at the start to give you a catch-up as to the history before hand, the land, the people, and the events that lead to the war
