Oleg Grabar, Sheila Blair, Jonathan Bloom, Robert Hillenbrand, Finbarr Barry Flood, ‎Gulru Necipoglu, Nasser D. Khalili

These are great Authors and Professors who specialise in Islamic Art and written many beautiful books and articles

So i highly recommend checking them out

For books, I would suggest as a general overview The Art and Architecture of Islam(2 vols, but short) and Ettinghausen's Islamic Art. These are relatively brief introductions to the field and should give you a good jumping-off point.
