Today gymnastics is a popular hobby, and since many tricks don’t require any equipment, I was wondering if people did tricks like standing backflips back in the Middle Ages. I was imagining medieval knights in full armor doing tricks but I realize that might not be very realistic. So if gymnastics was a thing back then, what part did it play in different cultures?
Extended question: usually, the *backflips* in Middle Ages, as described in fiction works, are usually done by entertainers, fools and gleemen. Would that be right?
