Its 1918, what would life be like for an unwed woman, with no family, no money and is an immigrant in England? (What would Wonder Woman's options be?)

At the end of the Wonder Woman movie Diana is living in mans world.

She has no money, she isn't married, no family to support her and she's an immigrant (the thick accent being a dead giveaway) I'm not sure what type of paperwork people would have had back then (are passports a thing?) but Diana would have literally nothing.

She has some friends, she has Etta Candy a secretary for the Government and Steve's friends Sameer, Charlie and Chief Napi.

But she can't depend on them forever so I was wondering just what life would be like for Diana straight after the war?

Would she for example be able to become a maid? or find employment in a department store? Because I've also seen that letters of recommendation from previous employers are quite important which is another thing she wouldn't have.

So I'm wondering what likely happened to Diana given the constraints of her circumstances and the historical context she lived in?

Also, would her military experience be any useful in finding a job? Did women serve in the British military during World War 1 and if so, did they go back into the workforce afterwards?
