What was the climate like? Was anyone opposing him? Anyone fleeing the country?... Asking for a friend
Hitler rose to power in 1933 (elections were in November 1932) with a coalition government. His political party gained 33,1% of the votes. Already in his first 100 days the NSDAP (Hitler´s political party) persecuted communist and social democratic politicians. The main event leading to communists beeing chased was the burning of the Reichstag (German parlament), which according to the NSDAP was done by a communist called Marinus van der Lubbe. THis event lead to the NSDAP enacting the so called "Reichstagsbrandverordnung", which enabled the Nazis to pursue political opponents. (Up to this date it is unknown if the Nazis set the building on fire themselves) The climate in Germany changed drasticly after the burning of the Reischstag, when the first political opponents were taken in police custoty.
Already in March 1933 , 5 months after the last election, Hitler pushed for new elections hoping for more than 50% of the votes, because many communist and social democratic leaders were already imprisoned. However he just got 43,9% of the popular vote, showing that many people still were distrusting Hitler´s political party. These were the last "free" elections (free is debatable, because of the previous described).
From this point onwards there are no numbers, which show the support for Hitler and the NSDAP. However there are some famous people fleeing the country. Many Jewish people fled over the years to different countries like the US, the Netherlands or other countries , when the attitude towards jewish people in German society became hostile. However Jewish people soon had difficulties of traveling out of Germany.
Probably one of the most famous jews leaving Germany is Anne Frank and her Family to the Netherlands. During the Occupation of the Netherlands they were brought to the Concentration Camp Ausschwitz.
There were also many scientists, free thinkers and artists leaving the country due to strict rules. One of the most famous examples is Albert Einstein.
Internally there were a lot of assasination attempts on Hitler. Most famously the Stauffenberg Attentat in July 20, 1944. By generals urging for peace with the Western powers and giving back the occupied territories to focus together with them against the Bolsheviks.
Another famous attempt was on November 8, 1939 (shorly after the outbreak of the war). This one is well known, because it almost suceeded, if Hilter had not left the place some minutes too early.
There were also organisations like the "Weiße Rose" (white rose), which was an underground student organisation against the Nazis and the war. The most famous people there are Hans and Sophie Scholl who were executed for spreading anti war propaganda.
Your questions was very wide spread. Thus i tried to give you a general explanation of some examples. If you want to know more on anybody in specific feel free to ask a more specific questions.
