Hey guys, I posted earlier in r/whatisthisthing and I was pointed to a website that shows there has been similar finds in Britain BUT no-one seems to have a good idea of what it was part of or used for.
The item is heavy bronze with holes on the end of each limb, it was found in field next to a field with a Roman fort and bordered by a Roman road although it could be earlier than Roman as I found half a bronze age axe in the same field so really any ideas or maybe similar has been found in your country that has been positively identified, images below.

The same item found accross Britain yet unidentified
Item that a member of my metal detecting group found
It looks quite interesting. I see that it has been suggested that some of the other items could have been strap or string distributors or a toggle.
As the Crown has the right to claim bona vacantia you need to report this to the Treasure Trove Unit, if you haven't already done so.
