According to this Wikipedia article under the history tab, at the beginning of the blockade the American, British, and French allied troops had a 49 day supply of "coke". I was wondering if anyone had any more info of what this is referring too. It seems to be a neat little history fact.
"Koks" in this setting most likely refers to coke as in processed coal - coal that has been heated in an oxygen-free environment and is used to produce producer gas for gas stoves and gas heating, both of which were common in 40s and 50s Berlin
