Was Alexander the Great more than a conqueror?

by loudnapper

As I do research for a history assignment I continue to find articles and essays that pose Alexander as just a conqueror during his 12 year reign as he stretched his empire to the east. Are there any sources out there that touch up on other aspects of Alexander as a leader? Politics? Management of the kingdoms he conquered?
