What are some good reliable sources for general information on the scientific revolution?

It's unclear to me exactly what you mean by "general information" (what are you looking for?) but Steven Shapin, The Scientific Revolution (University of Chicago Press, 1998) is a great place to start if you want to see how historians of science think about it (which varies somewhat from how it is popularly depicted or how scientists tend to represent their own history).
