Can someone recommend me some less biased or even unbiased sources on the whole struggle in general (pre events or histrionic things that have happend that tie into it ,leading up to the conflict , during the conflict and the aftermath + current state).
And if possible give a summary from both sides?
In general I want to try to form my own opinion and obviously understand the conflict as objectively as possible.
Thanks a lot in advance.
A Peace to End All Peace by David Fromkin is a good starting point for learning about the post-WWI Middle East. His focus is fairly broad, discussing the entirety of the former Ottoman Empire, but that is important for understanding the specifics of British policy in the Levant, since nothing occurs in a vacuum.
Make sure to get a newer edition, the original is 30 years old.
You aren’t really going to find anything truly lacking in bias, it is a continuing conflict that even scholars enter with preconceived ideas. That said, I very much liked Avi Shlaim’s The Iron Wall. He’s an Israeli historian who is generally quite sympathetic to the Arab cause, and the book is extensive in the areas it covers.
Not to dissuade other answers, but here are the official /r/AskHistorians recommended books on Israel/Palestine
