Is it true that Hitler was a vegetarian and if it is, then how he came to be one?

There are a disputes over Hitler and vegetarianism. Historic sources suggest that Hitlers vegetarianism was just a myth created by Joseph Goebbles. In his diary, Goebbles discrabed Hitler as "convinced vegetarian on principle". However, chef TDione Lucas, working in the hotel in Hamburg during 1930s, claimed in his book The Gourmet Coooking School Cookbook stated that during his visits in the hotel Hitler showed special love for stuffed squab (domestic pidgeon). Robert Payne in Life and death of Adolf Hitler claims that common myth among Germans was viewing Hitler as asketic and highly self-controlling individual, never smoking, never drinking, never eating meat, never having affairs with a women. However Hitler loved bavarian sausages and bier, his relationship with Eva Braun is well known today. Albert Speer mentions Hitler“s health problems in his autobiography. Hitler was recommended strict diet since 1930s and his doctors forbid him to eat meat. However Hitler was cheating and still eating meat, and his doctors were giving him cocain and other drugs to ease his pain.

During his visit in Prague on March 15th 1939 Hitler had a a huge feast, with caviar, chicke, famous Prague ham and many other animal products. So no, Hitler was definitely not a vegetarian.
