Hey there: it can often take time for a good answer to be written, and what you might be seeing is the thread in between when it becomes popular and thus the right historian to answer it notices it, and when they answer it. Additionally, depending on how you view your frontpage, Reddit's algorithms may be showing you more recent things rather than older threads, which means you're less likely to see the answers in your feed. But with the more popular threads in this subreddit, within 24 hours there’ll be an answer the huge majority of the time - check out the top posts from the last week or month, and most of them will have answers (though some will not - sometimes threads don't get answers and that's okay - nobody here is getting paid to answer questions, and some questions might not really be answerable by the historians who choose to spend their time volunteering their knowledge).
And if you simply want more great things to read, check out our Sunday Digest threads where we collate some of the best answers from the sub in the last week - there's always heaps of stuff in those threads that is very much worth reading!
