I understand this may be a loaded question. Just assume I know next to nothing about the subject and a basic overview would be fine. Basically, what I'm needing to know is:
When and why did the Jews (or Isrealites?) arrive in that area?
When and why did they leave?
When and why did they come back?
Is the biblical story of the Exodus rooted in historical evidence?
Why are some groups of Christians so adamant in their support of the Isreal state?
Why are Palestinians so mad at Jews?
