Took place in 318 bce, but can't find a good analysis of the battle
The main problem is that the Chinese primary sources themselves say very little about the battle. Even the Shiji really only notes the time, the location, the combatant countries and the names of a few nobles involved. The Zhanguoce has even less to say about it.
Gongsun Yan and Su Qin were the brains behind the Vertical Alliance, and both have biographies in the Shiji. King Huai of Chu was another important participant; so was King Huiwen of Qin, the first ruler of Qin to claim a royal title. More information and context could be gleaned from these sources on the individuals involved in the campaign. But unfortunately the battle itself is not attested in a way that would allow for a detailed reconstruction or analysis.
