I was watching some documentaries about drugs and I began to wonder if and when American foreign policy has pressured other countries into adopting anti-drug policies themselves. I know for a fact a lot of drugs were legal in Mexico at the beginning of last century, so I was wondering what changed and if the USA has had any say in how the countries of this region enacted their own laws on the matter.
