This month the flairs gave out the 'Flair's Choice' Award to /u/GeekAesthete who proved that third time is the charm for the oft asked, and finally answered "In the film 'Hail, Caesar!' (2016), there is one scene in which a Protestant, a Catholic and an Orthodox priest and a Jewish rabbi are consulted about the titular film-within-a-film's depiction of Jesus. How far did film studios in the 50s actually try to avoid offending religious sensibilities?".
In the closely fought 'User's Choice' Award, /u/partymoses was the one that endured the fight to the top for the answer to "What motivated 19th Century soldiers to endure such terrible hardships?"
With newcomer /u/GeekAesthete taking top honors, there was no Dark Horse Award this month.
For the 'Greatest Question of the Month', there were some very close candidates, but /u/tlumacz's quirky question "The 1970 cartoon series Josie and the Pussycats (which I loved as a kid in the '90s) was the first US cartoon to feature an African American female lead character. Did it cause controversy among more "conservative" parents and did it have any direct influence on diversity in children entertainment?" edged out by a nose, with /u/swarthmoreburke swooping in to show off their many talents in response.
So as always, a big congratulations to the winners, and a big thanks to everyone who contributed to the subreddit in the past month! Also a reminder, if you want to nominate answers for the monthly awards, the best way to do so is to submit your favorite posts every week to the Sunday Digest!

So, um, I'd like to thank my Mum, who encouraged me to watch cartoons in English to help me learn the language, and Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim, who created YouTube. Without having a place to feed my nostalgia the question would never have crossed my mind.
Congrats to all the winners, and another personal thank you to /u/GeekAesthete for finally answering that question on one of my favourite films!
I have no idea what the Flair's Choice Award means. I feel honored nonetheless, but could someone explain?
This was such a great month for questions and answers, congrats to all the winners!
Congratulations to the great winners! Such a good job!
oh wow, thanks! This was unexpected.
I highly enjoyed both /u/tlumacz and /u/GeekAesthete's answers this month, well done everyone!
