Found this photo in my grandmother's things. The man in the picture is my step great-grandfather. My grandmother was originally from Czechoslovakia, born in 1936. She told me a story that her family was put on a train to Germany to help manufacture guns for WWII. I have never heard of a family member being a Nazi soldier. I think this particular uniform belongs to some kind of German police force. Any clues would help. Time period is probably early 1940s, location possibly Baden-Württemburg, Germany.
It is a M36 (model 36) for an enlisted infantry man, adopted in 1936 just 3 years before ww2...
It appears that he had no medals, signifying at this time he was just an infantryman.
Search up German 36 uniform if you want to see more images. If anyone would care to elaborate on the uniform feel free too.
