Hello r/history! I need someone's help with a project I am working on for my Government and Politics class at my college. I am doing it on the political influence on music since WW2. Part of what I would like to include is the rallies that used to be held to promote War Bonds, where they would have music and celebrities speak. For the life of my though I cannot remember what these are called and surprisingly Google hasn't been much help. Maybe I am remembering wrong and these weren't an actual thing? I sweat that I have seen some old footage when I was younger of these events. If someone could help me figure this out I would greatly appreciate it. Though it is fictional, I've included a clip from Captain America below because at the moment it is the only thing I can remember that is close to what I am talking about. Also, if anyone has anything unique they would like to share about the political influence on music, I'd be happy to learn something new. Thank you!
I found a movie from 1945 called All Star Bond Rally. This is a great example of what I am trying to find information about. https://www.dailymotion.com/video/xm9rsy

Have you looked at the USO performances for the troops during WW2?
