Not 100% sure this is the right place to ask this, but if it's not, please let me know. I want to get my MA in (medieval) history, but due to my job and location, online courses would be ideal for me. I'm having trouble finding schools that have such programs though. I was wondering if any of you know where I could do this, or if you had done it yourself and have any advice? Thank you.
Unless you have a job right now that wants you to have an MA for promotion or a raise and doesn't care where it comes from you should not get one online. There are no avenues to do this that are really respected in the historical community. You can get one from somewhere like Southern New Hampshire but no one will take you seriously.
I'm not aware of any online MAs in Medieval history, but you might be interested in the online MA History courses run by the University of Birmingham or the University of Edinburgh, both of which are respected UK universities.
