I was looking for book suggestions which talk about post colonial nations history. I know this is a broad history, so maybe a survey, or something along those lines.
“Open Veins of Latin America” by Eduardo Galeano is the only book that comes to my mind and with diverse translation. It has from during colonial to post-colonial times, touching diverse topics.
The only bad thing I can see is it can be read kinda condescending. I mean, that is the point, to show how the countries were treated unjust and that shaped modern times, as if the countries are always the victim but never punish themselves. It has been a while since I read the book but is could be a good introduction to other more in deep books per country others could suggest.
What languages do you speak? That could limit the range of resources you can read
