Did Muslim Leaders at the time of World War 2 Have a Favorable View of Hitler Because of the Holocaust?

I read this story in The Daily Mail about the memoirs of Hitler's personal pilot, Hans Baur, in which Baur reveals Hitler's finals words to him, etc. All very dramatic and intriguing. The one thing that really jumped out to me, however, was Baur's attempt to convince Hitler not to kill himself, and to instead let Baur fly them out of Berlin to Argentina, Japan, or "to one of the Sheiks."

Here's the full quote:

'"Baur, I want to say goodbye to you. The time has come. My generals have betrayed me; my soldiers don't want to go on and I can't go on."'

'I tried to persuade him that there were still planes available, and that I could get him away to Japan or the Argentine, or to one of the Sheiks, who were all very friendly to him on account of his attitude to the Jews.

So... was that a thing? I'd never heard this before.
