According to SHEG, "While almost all people of Japanese ancestry who lived in California, Oregon, and Washington were relocated those living in Hawaii were not. However, martial law was placed in Hawaii."
I'm super late on this one, but if you're still interested in this question, there were actually several detention and internment camps in Hawaii during the Second World War. The Japanese Cultural Center in Hawaii actually has a site dedicated to this: https://www.hawaiiinternment.org/
Also, a National Historic Monument is currently being created at the site of one of the largest camps in Honouliuli: https://www.nps.gov/hono/index.htm
While generally not discussed as much as the massive camps on the West Coast, these were horrible places to be, and according to the JCCH, close to 3,000 people were removed from their homes and forced into these camps during the war. Hope that helps!
