Ten Percent plan:

  • a specific state could be put back in the union if and ONLY if 10% of it’s voters swore an oath of allegiance to the Union

Reconstruction amendments:

13th Amendment:

  • slavery is abolished

14th Amendment:

  • anyone born in the U.S is automatically a citizen

15th Amendment:

  • Prohibits government from denying a citizen the right to vote based of race and color. NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH THE 19TH AMENDMENT, WHICH GAVE WOMEN THE RIGHT TO VOTE
