I answered a similar question recently which should hopefully help answer your question, here .
However, just to add to this particular question, I would like to point out that the majority of people through history were not antisemitic. While hatred of Jews based on religion, and more recently upon a pseudoscientific racial worldview, has been common in some areas and periods, this does not constitute the majority of historical people. The most likely case is that most of the billions of humans who lived in the past were not antisemitic, primarily because antisemitism itself (as opposed to Judeophobia) is a relatively recent invention. Further, the word “Jewish” would have meant nothing to most people other than those living within societies that had made contact with the Jews, which for the vast majority of the time that Judaism has existed as a distinct religion, would have been relatively small. As a result many would have been unaware of the existence of Jews, and what it was to be a Jew until relatively recently in human history. However, whether these groups would have formed prejudicial and hateful attitudes towards Jewish people is an open-ended question, and one that can not be definitively answered.
