My great-grandfather owned NYC's Hotel Delmonico during the 1930s-1950s. However, I cannot find any documents referencing him. Any help much appreciated!

His last name was Phillips, but I forget his first name now. I can ask my father. Not sure exactly which years he owned it for. The ownership was lost during a divorce. It is now Trump Park Avenue. Thanks for your help!

Sorry for breaking the rules, sub, I don’t have anything enlightening to say.

I found this article from 1975 from the NYT saying a Mr. Zeckendorf with Delpark Equities, Inc. was purchasing Delmonico’s Hotel to convert it to apartments, from the Military Park Hotel Company, Inc, whose president was David Phillips.

I can’t find information on it either, but the Military Park Hotel Company, Inc. was probably a hotel/real estate investing company based out of Newark, NJ, named after one of these hotels.

I or anyone else at r/genealogy could probably find a bit more info on David Phillips if you know anything else about him such as his approximate age, birth year/place, death year/place, middle name, wife’s name, parents’ names....
