How should I go about interviewing my grandparents on what they've seen/do in history?

Recently one of my grandmothers got Alzheimer and I learned my 86 yo grandfather and his brothers were involved in struggles for land reforms here in Brazil and disbanded to hide from the military dictatorship. This inspired me to get whatever I can from their memories while still possible but I have no idea on how to do it. Would you pls help an armchair historian out?

Not to discourage further comments on the subject, but there was an excellent Monday Methods on conducting oral history interviews kicked off by u/commiespaceinvader with many relevant follow up tips. u/DGBD links to resources in this answer on family interviews and there’s more suggestions from u/Cosmic_Charlie here.
