What are some papers having to do with forensic examination of historic battlefield casualties?

by sumofsines

I'm not even sure what this practice is called-- I thought it was battlefield forensics, but Googling suggests that's something else....

Anyways, I've read a few papers where large numbers of corpses exhumed from historical battlefields were examined for cause of death. As a video game player and fantasy nerd, I thought these were really interesting-- like for instance, it was fascinating just how many people were apparently killed by thrown rocks, I remember that being hugely more deadly than, say, spears.

But I've only read two, and I was suddenly concerned that I might be getting a slanted view by not reading more. I'm interested in renaissance battles and earlier, not so much in modern stuff. Probably can't pierce any paywalls, but maybe I can find a way via sci-hub.

Any recommendations?

A couple that come to mind for me, although they aren't papers, are:
