Can anyone help identify which country these military uniforms are from?

I don't know much about one side of my family, so I've been digging for answers for a long time now. I found this photo in a box of family things and know that one of these two men was closely related to me somehow. I've tried to research this online (and looked through this subreddit's military insignia guide), but for some reason, I haven't been able to identify these uniforms. I'm a little desperate to find out, because knowing the uniforms would give me more of an idea of where they were from and who they might be in my family tree, so I'd really appreciate the help. Thank you.

The red and white octagonal cross is the patch of the Eighth US Army. Formed in 1944 to fight in the Pacific theater, then based in Korea since the outbreak of hostilities in 1950.
