How did improvement in medical technologies and practices during the First World War effect the rates of survival for soldiers wounded in battle?

by L3301

I'm writing a paper about medicine in the First World War, and was wondering if there is any good literature on how the survival rate of wounded soldiers changed from 1914 to 1918 due to improvements in medical technologies and practices. Sources would be helpful as well. Thanks!
