Seeing as it spanned thousands of years, multiple dynasties and so on, is it really fair to be say Ancient Egypt can be considered a single civilization? I realize there's obviously a lot more nuance to ancient Egypt, but the point still stands.
There's always more to be said on the topic, but I discussed cultural (dis)continuity in ancient Egypt in Ancient Egypt is often described as the longest continuous human civilization, and seems to have maintained a surprising amount of cultural continuity. How accurate is this description? If so, why were they able to maintain continuity so much more than other civilizations?
