There have been a number of media articles (such as this one: https://www.independent.co.uk/voices/dunkirk-france-1940-french-soldiers-algeria-commonwealth-white-wash-a7874501.html) stating that the movie Dunkirk was a "white wash" for not having ethnically diverse characters in the movie. At this stage of the war, how ethnically diverse would the BEF be? The war was nine to ten months old - how many Colonial or Commonwealth troops could there have been at Dunkirk? This isn't the North African campaign yet, where I know Indian, Australian, and Egyptian forces were deployed to fight the Axis. So, what was the ethnic make up of the British Expeditionary Force in 1940?
Not discouraging further answers, but you may be interested in this answer to a very similar question by u/thefourthmaninaboat, or this megathread about the movie itself.
